BIO
Born in Mollet del Vallès in 1976, he began his musical career by studying at the Escola de Música Ricomà de Mollet (1993), at the Estudi de Granollers (94) and spent a first stage at the Taller de Músics (95-96) where he learned from great musicians such as Vicens Martí, Xavier Fort or Xavier Maureta among others.
These early years led him to Jamaican and mixed music groups such as: “Murphies”, with whom he recorded an LP and appeared on “Les mil i una” on TV3, a program hosted by Jordi Gonzàlez, and, “Los Rancios”, later called “Yaruba yam”, with whom he recorded a second LP and did a short tour of Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain. He also composed and performed for the theater company “Toc d’art” (1999).
It was during the Professional Degree stage at the EMMB in Badalona (2000) that he began to delve into the world of jazz and diversify styles with renowned teachers such as Giulia Valle, Ismael Dueñas, Martí Serra, Ramon Montoliu; master classes with Javier Colina, Xavier Miralta and Perico Sambeat and formations as different as: “Petjades”, a jazz quartet; “Tragoudia leo armènica”, a Balkan music quintet, led by diatonic accordionist and ESMUC professor Marc Del Pino; "Oriol Palau trio" leading the jazz formation; “Orgànic 7” a jazz-fusion septet, “A dos caps i quatre mans”, a guitar duet with the Nicaraguan singer-songwriter Richard Loza; organizing the jams of the local “La Bombeta” in Mollet del Vallès with a sextet as the initial group and, finishing this stage, he worked as a cruise musician with the orchestra “Celebration”.
During his Higher Degree, studied at the ESEM Taller de Músics (2010-14), he played with the cover quintet “Loko-Motora”, spent a season with the orchestra “Max&the Band” and brought the Jams of the local “Casa Múrcia” to Barcelona.
He currently works as musical director and guitarist in the “Oquestra Acuario” and is part of the “Opusone.cat” project, a commemoration of Mike Oldfield's album, Tubular Bells, for its 50th anniversary.
